Dry type transformer (also called epoxy resin transformer or resin insulation transformer) applies an epoxy resin cast process instead of immersing the iron core and windings in insulation oil. It consists of an iron core made of silicon steel plates and epoxy resin cast coils. Insulation cylinders and other insulators between high and low windings increase electrical insulation. Without using insulation oil, dry-type transformers are fireproof and explosion-proof, easy to maintain, and offer high reliability, low partial discharge, and long operation life.
